Youth Vigil next Wednesday

Next Wednesday 24 January, starting at 7pm, we have a Youth Vigil organised by our sixth formers. This is especially for sixth formers and those in the upper years of secondary school.

This is a Holy Hour for young people with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary and other prayers chosen and led by the young people. Fr Finigan will be available for confessions during the Holy Hour. After Benediction, we meet for a film and pizza in the presbytery.

Email Fr Finigan if you want to know more about the Youth Vigil.

A Day with Mary - Sat 3 Feb

Our annual Day with Mary will take place this year on Saturday 3 February. The day starts at 10am with the crowning of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima, the dedication of the parish to Our Lady and an outdoor procession. Mass will be a little later than usual, a sung Mass in Latin with the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate leading the singing.

At lunchtime in the Large Hall (tea provided, bring your own sandwiches), there is a chance to browse the bookstall and get some really good Catholic books.

In the afternoon, there is Exposition, procession of the Blessed Sacrament, adoration and meditation on the Passion. The Rosary forms the background to the whole day. Fr Finigan and Fr Roth FI will preach on Our Lady. At the end of the day, before the emotional final procession and farewell to Our Lady of Fatima, there is a chance to be enrolled in the Brown Scapular and the Miraculous Medal.

People come from all over to our Day with Mary - don't miss the chance to take part in this great blessing brought to our parish by the hardworking Day with Mary team.
