Xaverian Mission Appeal this weekend
Founded by Blessed Guido Mara Conforti in 1895, the Xaverian Missionaries worked in China for 50 years until they were expelled by Mao Zedong.
They now work all over the world to proclaim the Kingdom of God. They number over 1000 members from diverse cultures and nations.
Their name is taken from St Francis Xavier, one of the early members of the newly formed Jesuits. His indefatigable missionary work remains an enduring inspiration.
Today we welcome Fr Gismondo Capone from the Xaverian Missionaries who will be preaching at all Masses this weekend. A second collection will be taken in support of the work of the Xaverian Missionaries.
